DIVERSITY IN MEDIA GRANTDIVERSITY IN MEDIA GRANT

The Diversity in Media Grant is designed to aid community members in completing an entire project that requires the use of DOM equipment beyond the normal terms of use. Priority will be given to applicants who are most under-represented in our community, in the media and on our channels. Applicants should identify how the intended programming aims to enrich the diversity of DOM's programming.

Grants are limited to 1 per year for individual membership, classes and production services.

Award is valued at $2500 and includes:

  • 1-year Unlimited Individual Membership
  • up to three DOM certification classes
  • up to $1,000 in equipment use
  • up to $1,000 in studio production and post-production support (provided by DOM Station Director)

History:

This is a new grant and no award has yet been given.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Project should enrich the diversity of DOM's programming and have a strong component of community, diversity, youth or social engagement
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Demonstrate ability to complete project
  • Must complete the web form application and have a strong proposal to be considered for this opportunity

Application Deadline:

Applications are reviewed twice each year, with deadlines of March 15 and Sept 15 (or the first business day following).
